WASP presents new 3D printing solutions at Manufacturing World Japan

WASP, a leader in 3D printing, is participating in Manufacturing World Japan for the second consecutive year. During the event, WASP will showcase two of its innovative 3D printing solutions: the WASP 3MT HDP pellet printer and the WASP 40100 Production clay printer. Both machines are made entirely in Italy and are marketed worldwide.

The WASP 3MT HDP is a large-format 3D printer that uses plastic pellets, significantly reducing material costs compared to conventional filaments. With a print volume of Ø 1000 x h 1000 mm, this machine is ideal for the production of large objects in areas such as art, furniture design and automotive manufacturing. By using pellets, it is possible to experiment with a variety of technical and sustainable materials, including recycled PLA and biomaterials such as PHA.

The printer is equipped with the patented FIRECAP system, a mobile heated chamber that ensures perfect layer adhesion and excellent surface quality, even with challenging materials. In addition, the VAC (Vacuum Active Control) system enables a quick change of the printing plates and thus ensures optimum adhesion during the printing process.

The WASP 40100 Production represents a new paradigm in digital manufacturing by combining individualization and series production. This automated system is designed for the continuous 24/7 production of 3D printed ceramic pieces. This is made possible by the combination of three technologies: WASP 40100 LDM, the Continuous Feeding System (CFS) and the Automated Production System (APS).

The APS enables the serial printing of ceramic artifacts by automatically replacing the used printing plate with a new one in just a few seconds. At the same time, the CFS ensures a continuous supply of degassed material, which can be refilled at any time. With the WASP 40100 Production, hundreds of copies of vases, tiles, facades, design objects and many other applications can be produced every day.

The event will take place from June 19-21 at Tokyo Big Sight, and WASP will be present at booth E12-38. The fair serves as a platform to showcase the latest advances in 3D printing and to promote exchange with other experts and companies.
