Steakholder Foods opens new demonstration centre for 3D printed food production

Steakholder Foods, a specialist in alternative proteins and 3D printing technologies, is pleased to announce the opening of its first full-scale demonstration centre. The facility will feature live demonstrations of the company’s innovative 3D printers – the MX200 and HD144 – to showcase real-time production of plant-based meat and seafood alternatives and drive customer engagement.

The demonstration centre meets the standards of a food production facility and offers potential customers and partners a hands-on introduction to Steakholder Foods’ technologies. Visitors can not only see the 3D printers in action, but also take part in tastings to experience the quality and variety of the products. This interactive approach is designed to increase interest in the company’s customised solutions for plant-based food production.

Arik Kaufman, CEO of Steakholder Foods, said: “We believe that our Demo Center will be a cornerstone of interaction with potential clients and partners. It’s not just about seeing the technology in action—it’s about experiencing the future of food production in real time. This center will play a critical role in promoting our capabilities and building stronger relationships within the industry.”

At the centre are two of Steakholder Foods’ leading 3D printers: the MX200 printer, which uses Fused Paste Layering (FPL) technology to combine plant-based proteins and fats to replicate the texture of traditional meat. The HD144 printer utilises Drop Location in Space (DLS) technology, which enables the precise placement of plant-based ingredients to create authentic fish textures.

The centre has already welcomed its first international visitors and also offers virtual tours to showcase the innovative possibilities of 3D food production worldwide.
