SolidWorld Group acquires 3D printing software business from Valore BF

Italy-based SolidWorld Group has completed the acquisition of 3D printing software provider Valore BF, announced in July. According to SolidWorld, this is a strategic acquisition that strengthens its market position.

SolidWorld is an authorized distributor in Italy of Dassault Systèmes’ SolidWorks 3D CAD software. Valore BF also distributes solutions based on SolidWorks. The integration of Valore BF will allow SolidWorld to gain approximately 1,000 additional customers and a higher market share in the 3D printing software segment. The transaction is valued at €2.6 million.

Valore BF generated revenue of approximately €1.9 million in the first half of 2023, with a margin of 13.7 percent. SolidWorld CEO Roberto Rizzo said the acquisition significantly strengthens SolidWorld’s position in the Italian market.

The company has gained a competent development team for 3D printing software. In addition, SolidWorld can expand its customer base through the acquisition. Further synergies are planned both on the product side and in sales and personnel development.

SolidWorld specializes in technical software solutions and services related to 3D printing. In addition to SolidWorks sales, the company also offers its own solutions for additive manufacturing. According to SolidWorld, the acquisition of Valore BF fits well with its growth strategy in this area.
