In the field of Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) 3D printing, the need for automation and increased efficiency is constantly growing. The company rossmann automation has launched the print-RACK, a modular system for automating the FDM printing process.

The print-RACK is characterized by a high degree of flexibility and modularity. With the help of standardized functional modules such as mounting modules for 3D printers, material storage systems or handling systems, the degree of automation can be increased step by step without committing to a specific printer configuration. This enables 3D printing operations to future-proof themselves and respond to changes in the market.

Thanks to the combinability of the modules, a wide range of configurations is possible – from use in small workshops to large industrial plants. Core functions such as loading and unloading printers or transferring parts to downstream processes are covered automatically. Additional inspection and quality control modules extend the range of functions.

The development was carried out in cooperation with the well-known 3D printing expert Sebastian Gebhardt in order to take into account the market-leading needs of the industry. The result is a highly functional and flexible system that maximizes productivity in FDM printing through automation.
