Prusa presents new limited-edition PLA Prusament filament

Prusa Research, known for its 3D printers, is expanding its range to mark the sixth anniversary of its filament brand Prusament. In addition to a limited edition, there are new variants of existing products.

The anniversary filament ‘PLA Radiant Sky’ is limited to 1000 pieces. It is characterised by a deep blue colour with green, purple and silver glitter. Each spool has an individual number and costs 39.99 euros.

Prusa introduced several new filaments last year. These included rPLA Natural Pigments, a recycled PLA filament. Woodfill Linden Light, a wood filament with improved printability, was also introduced.

New colours were added for resin printers, including Neutral Beige and Ultra Violet. A Resin Model Color Kit was also introduced, which contains various colours for mixing. Prusa is also expanding its range of industrial filaments. The new PEI 1010 offers a tensile strength similar to aluminium and is suitable for temperatures up to 200°C.

To offer customers more flexibility, Prusament is introducing 25g samples. These make it possible to test different materials before buying a whole spool. The range of refill spools and 2kg spools has also been extended.
