Plastometrex expands to Japan with new partners

Plastometrex, a provider of advanced materials testing technologies, has announced its expansion into the Japanese market. In partnership with technology companies Kobe Material Testing Laboratory (KMTL) and AeroEdge, the company aims to strengthen its position in Japan.

KMTL, a leading independent testing laboratory in Asia, was the first to introduce Plastometrex technology in Japan. The company’s plastometer allows metal stress-strain curves to be determined by penetrant testing in under 5 minutes. This enables fast and flexible materials testing at all stages of the product cycle.

AeroEdge, a company specializing in additive manufacturing of metallic components, will also use Plastometrex technology as a KMTL customer. According to AeroEdge, the Plastometer enables accelerated development of 3D printed materials with significantly less sample volume.

Plastometrex sees the partnership as a milestone on the road to transforming materials testing. Japan represents a dynamic market where the innovative testing technology can enable progress in materials and 3D printing development, it said.
