Metal 3D printing in the USA: MatterHackers and Meltio cooperate

3D printing specialist MatterHackers and technology provider Meltio have announced a strategic partnership for the US market. The aim of the collaboration is to advance industrial metal 3D printing and open up new application possibilities.

At the centre of the collaboration is the Meltio M600, an advanced metal 3D printer based on Directed Energy Deposition (DED) technology. This machine utilises blue lasers for the precise processing of metal wires. MatterHackers is integrating the M600 into its portfolio, expanding its offering for industrial customers and manufacturing companies.

Meltio specialises in the development of high-performance and cost-effective solutions for metal 3D printing. The company specialises in the combination of laser technology and metal wire as a starting material. Gabriel Ortiz, Channel Manager of Meltio in the USA, emphasises the versatility of the technology: ‘Our solutions include not only stand-alone 3D printers, but also integrations with CNC machines and robotic systems.’

MatterHackers plans to expand its service offering. Dave Gaylord, VP of Technology, explains: ‘We will offer comprehensive support across the entire 3D printing lifecycle, from initial consultation to long-term maintenance.’ This holistic approach is designed to help customers realise the full potential of their 3D printing investments.
