Masterpiece X: AI generates 3D models from text descriptions

A new AI software called Masterpiece X allows 3D models to be generated from text descriptions. According to developers at Masterpiece Studio, the software can create detailed 3D models of people, animals and objects from a few keywords.

Masterpiece X is designed to simplify the time-consuming manual creation of 3D assets. Instead of spending hours modeling figures and objects in 3D software, users simply type in a few keywords. The AI generates a finished 3D model from this in just a few minutes.

According to the developers, the process is very simple: In the first step, the user chooses between a human being, an animal or an object. Then he describes the rough shape in one word, for example “robot.” The next step is a more detailed description, such as “a humanoid robot with round shoulders and a round head. In a final step, textures and materials can be specified.

According to the developers, neither prior knowledge nor special hardware is required to use the software. Masterpiece X runs entirely in the browser. The results can be exported as 3D models and further processed in common software for 3D and game design.

Initial examples show that Masterpiece X is capable of delivering promising results, especially for rapid ideation and prototyping. However, the AI-generated models usually cannot keep up with assets modeled by humans. Thus, manual post-processing is still necessary for fine-tuning.

According to Masterpiece Studio, the software will also include developer tools in the future to integrate the AI function into existing applications. The models can already be integrated into Unity, Unreal Engine and Blender.
