Maker presents 3D printing model for laptop stand

Designer h3li0 has presented a vertical laptop stand that can be produced using 3D printing on the Printables platform. Originally designed for the 14-inch MacBook Pro, the model can be flexibly adapted to different laptop sizes.

The special feature of the stand is its customisability: users can adjust the gap size precisely to their needs by scaling the Y-axis.

The basic model has a gap width of 17 mm. Variants with 22 mm and 30 mm gap widths are also available for thicker laptops. The overall dimensions of the stand are 160 mm wide, 70 mm deep and 72 mm high.

Recesses on the underside, which can accommodate 10 mm rubber feet, ensure non-slip stability. This increases stability and protects sensitive surfaces from scratches.

The technical specifications for 3D printing are also detailed. h3li0 recommends a nozzle size of 0.4 mm, a layer height of 0.2 mm and a cubic infill structure with 15% density. These settings ensure an optimum balance between stability and material consumption.

Interested makers can download both STL files and 3MF files for Bambu Studio. The 3MF files offer the advantage that they already contain optimised print settings, which simplifies the printing process.
