Maker develops 3D printed washing bowl for fruits and vegetables

On the Thingiverse platform, makers are constantly presenting practical 3D printed models for everyday use. One example is the “Automatic fruit and vegetable washing basin” by designer Weixin Lin. This fruit and vegetable washing basin makes it easier to clean food.

According to Lin, he got the idea while washing grapes. When water is poured into them, the grapes roll in the bowl, making them easier to clean. He has since presented an improved version of his washing bowl on the 3D model platform for free download.

Another maker called “wedgeworks” further optimized the model. His version is said to be more stable, better sealed and easier to print. According to the maker, it also prints a bit faster and uses less filament. He makes his creation available for free on the Prusa Printables platform.
