Lithoz presents new ceramic 3D printer CeraFab System S320

Austrian 3D printing specialist Lithoz is presenting its latest CeraFab System S320 at this year’s Formnext. This ceramic 3D printer expands the company’s portfolio with a machine that has been specially designed for the production of medium-sized ceramic components.

The CeraFab System S320 is based on LCM (Lithography-based Ceramic Manufacturing) technology from Lithoz. Compared to the CeraFab System S65, the new model offers a five times larger build platform with identical external dimensions. With a build volume of 245 x 130 x 320 mm, the S320 enables the efficient production of significantly larger ceramic parts than before.

Despite the increase in build volume, precision is not compromised. The S320 works with a resolution of 60 μm and uses a 4K projection system. This ensures a high level of detail even with complex geometries.

Various application examples will be presented at Formnext to demonstrate the performance of the new system. In addition to technical applications, Lithoz will also be showcasing advances in the medical sector. One highlight is a duplicate of a 3D-printed subperiosteal jaw implant made of zirconium oxide. This was successfully implanted for the first time at the beginning of the year.
