Kings Introduces New FGF800 Industrial 3D Printer with Pellet Extrusion

Chinese 3D printer manufacturer Kings has unveiled the FGF800, a new industrial 3D printer for the pellet extrusion process. Unlike conventional filament 3D printing, the machine processes plastic pellets directly. According to Kings, this significantly reduces material costs.

The FGF800 (Fused Granulate Fabrication) is a high-temperature 3D printer with a build volume of 800 x 600 x 800 mm. The plastic pellets are pneumatically fed to the printing nozzle via a fillable hopper.

According to the manufacturer, the process is particularly suitable for price-sensitive applications such as sculptures, models or casting molds. By processing pellets instead of filament, material costs could be reduced by up to 70 percent, Kings advertises.

In addition to the FGF800, Kings offers various other industrial 3D printers based on SLM, SLS or SLA. With now four different processes, the Chinese manufacturer covers a wide range of applications. In total, the portfolio includes 28 different 3D printer models.

According to Kings, the FGF800 should be of particular interest to users who want to process large quantities of material cost-effectively. The machine is designed for continuous operation in industrial production.
