Israeli company Ackerstein Industries gets into concrete 3D printing

The Israeli company Ackerstein Industries is opening up a new business area and entering additive manufacturing with concrete. For this purpose, a cooperation with the Dutch concrete 3D printing specialist CyBe has been agreed.

Ackerstein is the market leader for concrete products in Israel and now also wants to become active in 3D printing. With the help of CyBe’s technology, concrete components for landscaping, street furniture and other applications will be printed in the future.

According to CEO Ehud Danoch, 3D printing fits in with Ackerstein’s culture of innovation. The process is also considered environmentally friendly and resource-saving, he adds. The printing process is fast, and the curing time of the special concrete is short.

Worldwide, 3D printing with concrete has been used for some time. Ackerstein now sees itself as a pioneer of this technology in Israel. A new product line has already been developed. The printed concrete elements are to be used, among other things, for landscape architecture, retaining walls and building facades.
