Interspectral secures investment for AI-supported quality assurance in additive metal manufacturing

Interspectral, a leading SaaS provider specializing in AI-driven quality assurance and process monitoring, has successfully closed an investment round. This was led by Navigare Ventures, a major Swedish investor in industrial innovation and Deep Tech, a wholly owned subsidiary of Wallenberg Investments, with strong support from existing shareholders including Skagerack Ventures.

Additive manufacturing technologies have become an important part of modern industry in recent years, especially in metal processing. Digital twins are playing an increasingly important role in optimizing production processes and ensuring the quality of manufactured parts. Interspectral relies on advanced visualization techniques and AI-based algorithms to automatically detect and correct errors in production processes. These technologies are crucial for achieving a high level of precision, quality and efficiency in additive manufacturing.

“We are delighted to partner with Interspectral as they continue to lead the way in AI-driven quality assurance and process monitoring for additive manufacturing,” said Salla Franzén, Investment Manager at Navigare Ventures. Franzén, who will also join Interspectral’s board of directors, brings deep expertise in Artificial Intelligence to the team.  “Interspectral’s proficiency in developing advanced visualization tools, AI-based algorithms for automatic error detection and efficient big data management is unparalleled. Together, we can accelerate the adoption of digital twins and revolutionize manufacturing on a global scale.”

The new funding will enable Interspectral to expand its research and development activities and establish its AI-based technologies on the global market. This is an important step in driving the further development of additive manufacturing in the context of Industry 4.0.

“This investment is a major endorsement of our vision and technology. It will allow us to make significant strides in enhancing the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of digital manufacturing said Interspectral’s CEO, Isabelle Hachette. “The infusion of capital will allow us to push the boundaries of what’s possible with AI and digital twin technology, with the enormous potential for our solutions to redefine manufacturing excellence in metal AM.”

With the support of Navigare Ventures and other investors, Interspectral is well positioned to drive the next generation of digital manufacturing solutions and make a lasting impact on the global manufacturing industry.
