Innovative lights: BEGA uses the flexible possibilities of HP 3D printing

Highest quality and durability characterize the products of BEGA Gantenbrink-Leuchten KG. To manufacture its plastic components for the innovative outdoor and indoor luminaires that set standards in the market, the company uses the HP Jet Fusion 5210 3D printer.

Producing reliable components with great detail options is just one advantage the global company values. The HP Jet Fusion 5210 3D Printer streamlines steps, speeds processes and quickly adjusts designs.

BEGA set up its own plastics production facility at its Limburg an der Lahn (Hesse) site. “Faster production under our own control, the robustness of the system and the components produced in it, as well as resource conservation, for example, through quantities that can be planned precisely – these were decisive parameters for us,” emphasizes site manager Holger Zick. “Our new industrial 3D printer had to produce components of the highest quality as quickly as possible and in an environmentally friendly manner. The HP Jet Fusion 5210 3D printer gives us all that.”

From sending the data to printing the components with a significantly lower carbon footprint takes only a few days. Changes to the design and construction process can be implemented flexibly and efficiently.

Holger Zick highlights another reason for the decision to plan and implement 3D printing with the system from HP: “The good cooperation and support from HP convinced us from the first contact to the completion of the project.”
