Free 3D print model for the Noctua table fan

Noctua’s new table fan is causing quite a stir – not only because of its performance, but also because of its hefty price tag of 100 euros. However, there is an interesting alternative for technology fans: the company has published the 3D data for the fan so that users can 3D print it themselves.

In addition to the fan housing, the 3D print files also include a stand with magnetic brackets and mounting options for rubber feet. This makes it easy to position and align the self-built fan on the desk.

The only requirement is a commercially available 120 millimetre fan, as found in many computers. Users must purchase this separately and combine it with the 3D printing housing. Speed control is optionally possible by adding the appropriate electronics. The model is available free of charge from Printables.
