Forward AM expands 3D printing portfolio with Ultrafuse pellets for large-format manufacturing applications

Forward AM, a supplier of 3D printing materials, has expanded its product range with the Ultrafuse Pellet Line. This new range is aimed at the large-format additive manufacturing market and utilises the Fused Granulate Fabrication (FGF) process.

The Ultrafuse Pellets are based on the company’s proven filament technology and now offer a cost-effective alternative for the production of large components. The range comprises three materials: recycled rPETG, glass fibre reinforced PP and PC. This selection covers a wide range of industrial applications.

One of the main advantages of pellet technology is its cost efficiency in the production of large parts. Compared to filaments, pellets enable higher throughput rates and reduce material costs at the same time. This makes the technology particularly attractive for series production and large part production.

The technical properties of the materials are tailored to specific areas of application. The recycled rPETG is suitable for sustainable projects, while the glass fibre-reinforced variants of PP and PC offer high strength and temperature resistance. Applications for the Ultrafuse pellets can be found in the automotive industry, toolmaking and architecture. Safety-critical sectors such as aerospace also benefit from the flame-retardant and UV-resistant properties of some materials.
