Formnext 2023: 3D printing trade fair in Frankfurt with strong demand

In 2023, the Formnext trade fair for additive manufacturing is once again experiencing high demand. According to organizer Mesago, more than 50,000 square meters of gross space have already been booked two months before the start. Over 770 exhibitors have registered. This means that the trade fair, which runs from November 7 to 10, is once again approaching a record result.

Formnext Vice President Sascha F. Wenzler sees the success as proof of the great importance of 3D printing in the industry. Especially in economically difficult times, he says, processes such as industrial 3D printing offer important competitive advantages and opportunities for more sustainable production.

At the show in Frankfurt, manufacturers of 3D printers, materials, software and accessories will present innovations along the entire process chain. According to Mesago, the focus is on innovations and world premieres. In addition, the supporting program presents numerous exciting innovations and places a special focus on the topics of AM service providers and sustainability, among others. This year’s Nordic partner region will also play an important role.

Internationality and conference program

The foreign share among exhibitors could be increased to over 60 percent in 2022. For the first time, the conference will be held decentrally on three stages in the halls. Thus, visitors can conveniently select suitable lectures. All in all, according to the organizers, Formnext offers the most important industry get-together for the exchange of experience on all aspects of 3D printing.
