Filament manufacturer 3D-Fuel independent of Nexa3D again

It was only recently announced that the US filament manufacturer 3D-Fuel would become part of the manufacturer Nexa3D. Now 3D-Fuel is independent again. The company now wants to focus more on the growing market for desktop 3D printers and expand its production in the USA.

3D-Fuel plans to expand its range of FDM materials for the desktop sector. The focus will be on the bestsellers Standard PLA+, Tough Pro PLA+ and Pro PCTG, which are available in up to 40 colors. The company is responding to the increasing demand for high-quality filaments for the new generation of fast and reliable 3D printers from manufacturers such as Bambu Lab, Creality3D, Prusa and Elegoo.

John Schneider, CEO and founder of 3D-Fuel, emphasizes the importance of customer focus: “We want to ensure that we provide our long-standing customers with what they need, with a renewed focus on quality, reliability and customer service.” At the same time, Schneider sees potential with new entrants to 3D printing who are looking for reliable, US-made materials.

The return to independence should enable 3D-Fuel to respond more flexibly to market requirements. The company intends to target both hobbyists and professional users with large print farms.
3D-Fuel’s realignment reflects the trend towards more local production and a stronger customer focus in the 3D printing industry. It remains to be seen how this step will affect the company’s product range and market position.
