Desktop Metal shows how the BMW Group uses binder jetting technology

3D printer manufacturer Desktop Metal in showing how BMW Group is using ExOne’s binder jetting technology to reduce emissions at its light metal foundry in Landshut, Germany.

Desktop Metal has released a video showing how BMW Group is using ExOne Binder Jet 3D printers for volume production of cast powertrain components.

ExOne and BMW Group have collaborated on project development for more than 20 years. The automaker is using four ExOne Exerial Binder Jet 3D printing systems for the series production of water jacket cores for metal casting, with two more systems scheduled for delivery.
