CRP Technology presents 3D printing solutions at the Space-Comm Expo in Scotland

CRP Technology, an experienced provider of professional 3D printing services, will be showcasing its latest technologies at the Space-Comm Expo in Scotland. The event, which takes place on 11 and 12 September 2024 at SEC Glasgow, will provide a platform to demonstrate the advanced capabilities of additive manufacturing in the space sector. CRP Technology will be on stand F26 to showcase their latest developments in additive manufacturing.

The company is known for its use of Windform, a high-performance composite material used in conjunction with selective laser sintering (SLS) to produce lightweight yet robust components. These materials are optimised for space applications as they meet the stringent requirements of international space agencies and have particularly low outgassing rates.

Franco Cevolini, CEO and CTO of CRP Technology, states, “Our state-of-the-art thermoplastic materials and 3D printing department are transforming the aerospace sector. Windform materials, which have successfully passed the outgassing criteria of leading international space agencies, are able to meet the strict requirements of space applications, offering unmatched performance and reliability. We will display space-ready components, especially in the realm of small satellites and deployers, that have been integral to significant space missions.”

Among other things, components for small satellites and satellite deployers that have been used in past space missions will be on display at the trade fair. CRP Technology plans to show visitors real-world applications of its materials and manufacturing technologies and demonstrate their potential for future space projects. The company is emphasising the importance of additive manufacturing for the space industry, particularly in areas where weight and strength are critical.

The Space-Comm Expo in Scotland provides CRP Technology with an excellent opportunity to network with industry experts and explore future collaborations. With more than 25 years of experience in additive manufacturing and a focus on advanced materials, the company remains a key player in space technology.
