Cocoa Press introduces new 3D printer with higher speed for chocolate

Cocoa Press has announced its latest 3D printer for chocolate. The Cocoa Press 2.0 brings with it several technical innovations designed to make the printing of chocolate products more efficient and versatile.

One of the most important innovations is the implementation of Klipper firmware. This software, which ensures speeds of up to 1200 mm/s in the polymer 3D printing industry, should also ensure higher speeds in chocolate printing. Cocoa Press has not yet provided exact details of the printing speed. However, due to the special properties of chocolate as a printing material, significantly lower speeds are to be expected than with plastics.

The improved hardware includes components from BigTreeTech, including the SKR Pico, PI 1.2, HDMI55, SKSM and the Hermit Crab. These upgrades are designed to improve the performance of the device.

Of particular interest is the announcement of a quick-change extruder that will be compatible with the future ‘Cocoa Buddy’. This system promises multi-colour and continuous chocolate printing. Until now, chocolate printing has mostly been limited to brown and white chocolate. The ability to combine these could lead to creative new designs.

Cocoa Press will soon be available to pre-order for 1,199 US dollars.
