BigRep introduces DRYCON: Optimized filament care for industrial 3D printers

BigRep has unveiled a new solution for industrial additive manufacturing with the introduction of the DRYCON. The machine is characterized by its unique dual chamber capacity, which allows for simultaneous drying, storage and annealing of filaments. This combination makes the DRYCON the ideal companion for industrial 3D printers by ensuring improved filament care and high-quality printed parts.

The DRYCON is specifically designed to maximize the performance of technical, flexible and high temperature resistant materials. With a large build space, as BigRep has already made famous, the machine offers two separate chambers that together can dry and store up to 36 kg of filament under customizable conditions. Both chambers reach temperatures of up to 180°C, which is optimal for annealing 3D-printed parts to increase their industrial strength.

Another feature of the DRYCON is the active air exchange system, which regularly exchanges humid air with fresh air. This ensures optimum drying conditions and high energy efficiency at the same time. In addition, the seamless integration of the filament supply directly to the 3D printer enables a smooth production process without manual material transfers.

The DRYCON will be available immediately in the EMEA region via the BigRep website and will be available worldwide in early 2025. Companies looking to optimize their 3D printing processes and improve the quality and strength of their printed parts will find the DRYCON a powerful addition to their existing equipment.

With the DRYCON, BigRep is expanding its portfolio with a solution that not only optimizes filament maintenance, but also supports the production of robust and precise 3D printed parts. This underlines BigRep’s commitment to continuously develop industrial 3D printing technologies and meet the requirements of modern production environments.
