As demand for housing continues to rise, interest is growing in Azure Printed Homes, an award-winning specialist in 3D printed homes made from recycled polymers.

The company, which uses recycled polymers to build homes, has become a major force in the industry since it was founded in 2022. By combining innovation in construction and sustainable materials, Azure was able to achieve sales of over 4 million US dollars in 2023 and secure pre-orders worth 30 million US dollars for 2024.

“We are addressing both the housing crisis and the dire need as a society to reduce and eliminate plastic waste,” said company CEO Ross Maguire. “The ability to solve two of the biggest problems at once, and to do it quickly and with superb quality has contributed greatly to our growing success.”

The company is also favoured by positive trends in the USA. A growing number of states are facilitating the construction of small residential units such as studios and Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) on existing residential and multi-family properties. In addition, lower mortgage interest rates and more efficient approval processes are accelerating the sale of Azure products. Lower transport costs also contribute to the attractiveness of 3D printed housing units, as they can be prefabricated in factories and delivered quickly.

Azure Printed Homes plans to grow further in the coming years, particularly in the affordable housing segment. A first construction project with 100 Azure homes is scheduled to start in 2025 in Bennet, Colorado. These developments have also earned the company recognition on a national level. Azure was recognised by Fast Company magazine as one of the most promising companies in the ‘Small and Mighty’ and ‘Best World-Changing Idea’ categories.

With its innovative use of 3D printing and recycled materials, Azure Printed Homes could make a significant contribution to solving global housing problems while setting new standards for sustainable construction.
