3DEO receives strategic investment from Mizuho Bank to promote additive manufacturing

Los Angeles-based 3DEO, a company specialising in design, engineering and metal 3D printing, has received a significant investment from Japan’s Mizuho Bank. The $3.5 million investment is aimed at driving the development and adoption of additive manufacturing technologies and helping 3DEO unlock new opportunities in product design and manufacturing.

Mizuho Bank, which focuses on global financial services and the promotion of innovation, sees great potential in 3DEO’s technology. In particular, 3DEO’s proprietary Intelligent Layering technology and Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) expertise are at the centre of the strategic partnership. This investment follows Mizuho’s Transition Investment Facility programme, which aims to promote sustainable and innovative technologies in various sectors.

In addition to Mizuho, other major investors such as IHI Aerospace, the Development Bank of Japan and Seiko Epson Corporation have also invested in 3DEO this year. These investments strengthen the company’s position in various industries, including aerospace, medical and industrial.

3DEO, founded in 2016, provides comprehensive design and manufacturing services for high-precision metal components. Through the strategic collaboration with Mizuho Bank, the company aims to expand its reach in these sectors and continue to develop innovative products for its customers.

The investment emphasises Mizuho’s commitment to supporting projects that drive sustainability and innovation in the manufacturing industry.
